This unique perspective began in the U.S. Army Reserves with the “Tough ‘Ombres,” first in Chemical Warfare defense and later with the 490th Civil Affairs Unit. There, training alongside Special Forces, Corbett learned the strategy of “winning hearts and minds”—liaising with local populations to rebuild schools, wells, and infrastructure. He learned that true victory requires establishing order amidst chaos.

He then transitioned to Active Duty, serving with the 10th Mountain Division (Attack Aviation) before deploying to the scorching deserts of the Middle East with the legendary Blackhorse Cavalry (11th ACR). As a Sergeant during the “Doha Dash” of Operation Positive Force, he witnessed the sheer kinetic power of modern warfare.

That discipline later translated into a specialized career in Juvenile Corrections. Rising to the rank of Senior Captain at a Maximum Security facility, Corbett led Corrections Emergency Response Teams (CERT) to quell violence, yet spent years guarding high-risk therapy sessions. There, he absorbed deep clinical insight into behavioral psychology and the “thinking errors” that drive the broken human will.

Today, Corbett operates from the Chihuahua Desert and Sierra, having retreated to the silence of the wilderness to synthesize these lessons. Viewing his past suffering not as random, but as necessary forging by the hand of God, he now applies this forensic rigor to the scriptures.
